Unpackable Ice 🧊

The Unpackable Ice datapack from Vanilla Tweaks is a Crafting Tweaks feature that allows players to reverse-craft compressed ice blocks.

🧠 How It Works

In vanilla Minecraft:

• You can craft Packed Ice by combining 9 Ice blocks

• You can craft Blue Ice by combining 9 Packed Ice

But once crafted, there’s no way to unpack them back into their base forms — even though the crafting process is reversible in logic.

With this datapack:

• You can shapelessly uncraft:

  • 1 Packed Ice → 9 Ice

  • 1 Blue Ice → 9 Packed Ice

🔁 Shapeless Recipes:

• 1 Blue Ice → 9 Packed Ice

• 1 Packed Ice → 9 Ice

This tweak simply reverses the compression chain.
