# Sandstone Dyeing 🔴

#### 🧠 How It Works

In vanilla Minecraft:

* **Red Sandstone** naturally generates in **badlands (mesa) biomes**.
* There is **no recipe** to convert **sandstone into red sandstone**, even though the blocks are nearly identical in function and structure.

With this datapack:

* You can **dye standard sandstone into red sandstone** using **red dye**.
* The recipe is **shapeless**, meaning items can be placed anywhere in the crafting grid.

**🧱 Shapeless Recipe:**

```
1 Sandstone + 1 Red Dye → 1 Red Sandstone
```

* Works with **all forms of sandstone**, including:
  * Sandstone
  * Cut Sandstone
  * Smooth Sandstone

(Note: only **base blocks** are dyeable — stairs, slabs, and variants still need to be crafted from red sandstone separately.)
